Nicholas March

Nicholas March, a violent male transvestite, was convicted at Warwick Crown Court in December 2017 of attempting to pay for the sexual services of a child.

March, 57, was sentenced to ten months in prison and made to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for ten years. He has previous convictions for indecent assault in 1985 and wounding in 1986.

March, an ex-soldier, had repeatedly tried to coerce a teenage girl into sexual activity – on one occasion offering her £20 while wearing a thigh-high split skirt and long boots and saying that he ‘wanted to serve her and that she could beat him, punch him and kick him’.

The court heard that March’s sexual offending has had ‘a devastating effect’ on the girl, who now suffers from anxiety and depression and has anger issues.

But Judge Andrew Lockhart QC told March: “You have a sexual proclivity for dressing in women’s clothing”, later continuing “I cannot ignore the significant impact this has had on this child. I am afraid that for offending of this nature, with this impact, it would never be proper to suspend the sentence.”
