Daniel Lindsay/Diamond Daniels

Daniel Lindsay, aka Diamond Daniels, a violent male drag queen, was convicted in November 2024 at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

Lindsay, aged 29 and from Dagenham, had failed to provide effective flea control and failed to investigate and address the causes of his dog’s poor bodily condition and weight loss. The RSPCA had been contacted by an enforcement officer at the local council who had been made aware of a dog’s body being left in a communal bin in March 2024.

The flea-covered body of two-year-old Zimba had been partially wrapped in a black refuse bin liner and placed in the communal bin. The post mortem conducted on Zimba’s remains found she was in an emaciated body condition evidenced by diffuse skeletal muscle wastage, lack of fat tissue and serious atrophy of the bone marrow. She was dehydrated at the time of death. The dog weighed 17.4kg and the post mortem found signs of being hungry, having eaten non-nutritive substances (grey material and rubber).

Lindsay was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison, suspended for two years; 200 hours of unpaid work; 20 days of ‘rehabilitation’; costs of £500 and £154 victim surcharge. Lindsay was also banned from keeping any animals for 5 years.
