Victoria Midrange

Victoria Midrange, a male who identifies as a trans woman, was convicted of burglary at Swansea Crown Court in December 2020. Midrange, 46, asked for three other burglaries of flats on the same day in Swansea on 30 October 2020 to be taken into consideration.

The court heard that Midrange had put on a hi-vis jacket to enter a hotel being used to provide accommodation to key workers during the coronavirus outbreak and stole a handbag from a bedroom. Although a barman gave chase, the defendant wasn’t arrested until the following day by officers investigating reports of a “tall, distinctive-looking man” connected to a series of break-ins at flats in Swansea’s Maritime Quarter.

Swansea Crown Court heard Midrange has a history of offending from Carlisle to London – including burgling a police station. A Google search reveals no other reports, however, likely indicating the offender has changed their name.
