Keith Thompson/Kathleen Carpenter, a violent male who identifies as a trans woman, was convicted at Nottingham Crown Court in January 2018 of two counts of indecently assaulting a child who lived in a Nottinghamshire village in the early 1990s.

The victim, a boy of 13 or 14 at the time, was understandably traumatised and told no one of the assaults for many years whereas Thompson/Carpenter reportedly “struggled to remember any such incident”.

Thompson/Carpenter, aged 59 and from Doncaster, was sentenced 32 months on one charge and 12 months to run concurrently for the second, ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register and be subject to a sexual harm prevention order for five years.
