Alex Mackay (aka Jilly), a male transvestite, was found not guilty of assaulting his estranged wife and breaching the peace at Dumfries Sheriff’s Court in 2015. Mackay, 64, has twice previously been acquitted of assaulting his wife and a fourth charge returned a verdict of not proven.

Police were called when his wife Liz accused Mackay of shouting, swearing and pushing her.
