Ryan McAndrew, a male transvestite, was convicted in February 2023 at Aberdeen Sheriff Court of indecent behaviour and intentionally exposing his genitals in a sexual manner after being caught masturbating in the street while wearing cream/gold high heels and women’s underwear.

McAndrew, 38, then went on to carry out similar indecent behaviour in another Stonehaven alleyway just over a month later. When he was arrested, McAndrew had a bag full of women’s underwear. 

He appeared in the dock without a solicitor – representing himself – and told the court: “I was out dogging” before apologising and stating his actions had been down to drinking alcohol and that he was working on his problems.

McAndrew escaped a prison sentence, instead being handed a community payback order with supervision for three years and 150 hours of unpaid work.
