Alexander/Lexi Secker (aka Lexi Bowen), a violent male who identifies as a transgender woman, was convicted on 21 June 2024 at Swindon Crown Court of the rape of a woman, following a four day trial.
The Wiltshire Police press release states that Secker, 35, attacked the woman in Blunsdon, Wiltshire, on 23 April 2021 with the headline of ‘Melksham person found guilty of rape’ and then further states that ‘At the time of the offence Secker was living as a man. The relevant offence was recorded as being committed by a male.’ However it then states that court ‘tried Lexi Secker, 35, of Lowbourne, as a woman’ – this is despite not having a gender recognition (i.e. sex falsification) certificate and yet another case of so-called ‘Prison Onset Gender Dysphoria’ where men declare a trans identity after criminal charges for sex offences have been brought. See other examples here.
The police failed to include the (male) name Secker was known as prior to being charged nor did they initially issue a custody photo making it unlikely that other potential victims might recognise Secker and come forward – see other examples of missing custody photos for trans-identified male offenders here. As the feminist news service Reduxx notes, a publicly accessible database of court records lists Secker under the name “Alexander” so the offender’s name has been deliberately withheld from the police press release. The Reduxx team also discovered that Secker is a film maker who has won a local award and lottery grant money, and claims to have appeared regularly on local BBC programmes as a film critic. However, no mainstream media articles linked Secker to this public profile. Recent severe criticism (and an admission that it had breached its own accuracy standards when referring to the depraved trans-identified male murderer Scarlet Blake as a woman) possibly persuaded the BBC to report Secker’s conviction as ‘Transgender woman guilty of rape after night out’. Both The Times and the Daily Mail criticised Wiltshire Police for obfuscating the fact that Secker is male by using phrases such as ‘person found guilty of rape’.
Further investigation by the Reduxx team later revealed that Secker was posting on X/Twitter under a pseudonymous trans activist account as Lexi Bowen (@itsTRANSylvania) right up until the 20 June (i.e. the day before conviction), when the profile mercifully falls silent on account of its owner being immediately remanded to (a male) prison. In fact, on 18 June (i.e during the rape trial) Secker was tweeting at Keir Starmer berating him (and Rosie Duffield, MP) for prioritising the safety of women and girls by ensuring trans-identified males are kept out of female wards in hospital by accommodating them in side rooms. Now why would a male rapist be so incensed at such a reasonable safeguarding decision? Secker also supported a trans-identified male doctor having access to female patients without disclosing he’s male.
Other violent trans-identified male sex offenders such as Lennon/Katie Dolatowski, Andrew Miller/Amy George and Cameron Downing have used Twitter in the past to show their support for Scottish politicians who championed gender self-ID. Again, why would male sex offenders be so keen for laws that could grant access to female spaces where women and girls are vulnerable?
In fact, Secker’s “Lexi Bowen” X/Twitter account has relentlessly targeted women’s rights campaigners such as Rosie Duffield, MP and the writer JK Rowling who have dared to prioritise safeguarding and female-only spaces for women and girls over the demands of misogynist male trans activists. As “Lexi Bowen”, Secker has also targeted other politicians/public figures who have stated biological facts. Examples include:
Endorsing the play ‘TERF C*nt’ due to open at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2024, currently having to crowdfund as producers hadn’t factored in legal fees and indemnity insurance to cover themselves against defamation of the people the characters are based on, including JK Rowling
Criticising Tony Blair for stating facts such as “a woman has a vagina and a man has a penis”
Secker was sentenced to six and a half years in prison at at Swindon Crown Court in September 2024 and will be on the Sex Offenders’ register indefinitely.
Media reports were at pains to point out that Secker will serve the sentence in a men’s prison (as per Government policy), but throughout the hearing, barristers and the judge referred to the defendant as “Ms Secker” and “she”, prompting Sal Grover to remark “Gender ideology allows predators to have control over everyone who indulges it, including barristers and judges’. In her victim impact statement, the woman raped by Secker used the name “Alex” to describe her attacker, saying “He took away my trust in people and myself. The assault consumed me with shame and fear.” To add insult to injury, she then had to listen to the barristers and judge call her rapist “she” when attending court to watch Secker be jailed. In 2023, another trans rapist, Freddie/Alyssa Trenchard, admitted to becoming sexually aroused when someone calls him “Miss”.
Many outlets also pointed out Wiltshire Police’s nonsensical position that Secker was “living as a man” when the attack took place, but was tried “as a woman” at Swindon Crown Court on his say-so – i.e. yet another case of Prison Onset Gender Dysphoria. The BBC also detailed that the sex of a defendant recorded by police at the time of their arrest will mirror what is on court records and other criminal justice system data – this raises the possibility that if another rapist said they were a “woman” on arrest, then that is how they would be recorded. During the same week of Secker’s sentencing, Police Scotland were pushed to U-turn on a similar policy – so now rapes committed by trans-identified males cannot be recorded as having been perpetrated by a woman.
Some media reports included the detail that the judge said he was sentencing Secker “with regard to how difficult a prison sentence in a male institution will be for you”, i.e. that somehow the fact that a burly bearded man who says he is a woman would somehow have a more difficult time in prison than another burly bearded sex offender who didn’t say he was a woman.
The team at Reduxx has compiled further seemingly endless examples of Secker insulting, trolling and haranguing women across Twitter, Bluesky, Medium and YouTube because they advocated for the importance of single-sex spaces away from rapists. Now it’s obvious why Secker was so keen to shut them up.
