Paul/Paula Stanton

Paul/Paula Stanton, a violent male transvestite, was convicted at Newport Crown Court in March 2024 of outraging public decency. He was jailed for 6 months and the judge also activated an additional six months imprisonment of a suspended sentence for a previous similar offence. He must register as a sex offender for 10 years.

Stanton, a 60 year old army veteran and serial sex offender from Barry in Wales, had repeatedly masturbated in his flat window while wearing a black bra and white knickers under his dressing gown as women walked past – i.e with the intent of being seen by them for his sexual gratification. The court heard that one of the complainants managed to record the defendant from the waist up and that she had then “found a note on her car that read as follows, ‘Please keep looking up at the flats. Paula wants to show you all her lingerie, it turns her on, so please tell her what you think. Thanks, Paula.” Stanton reportedly blamed PTSD and alcohol abuse.

In March 2023, Stanton was convicted at Cardiff Magistrates Court of a very similar offence – namely that he intentionally exposed his genitals at a woman and masturbated at her while in his car and following her – she was, unsurprisingly, left terrified. She described him as wearing women’s underwear and staring and grinning at her. She was forced to hide in a shop but Stanton then continued to follow her, and alighted from the car, pulled up his top and continued to masturbate at her. Unbelievably, he received a suspended prison sentence of six months after the judge decided that because he had not spoken to the victim, he hadn’t actually threatened her.

The court heard how Stanton has 10 previous convictions for 16 offences and was previously convicted of outraging public decency in 2019 which involved indecently exposing himself to two young girls while wearing female underwear in a Caernarfon playground. He was apparently convicted of “an almost identical offence” in 2017.

Stanton, who apparently does now identify as transgender “Paula”, was convicted at Cardiff Magistrates Court in August 2025 of indecent exposure, the offence committed at on July 14, 2025 at Barry. The court imposed a six-month prison term, yet again suspended for 24 months (so absolutely no deterrent for his repulsive behaviour), with 12 months of alcohol treatment and up to 15 rehabilitation activity days. Stanton must also register as a sex offender for seven years and report to Barry Police Station. He is also subject to a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order with strict prohibitions, and must pay £85 costs.

*Update June 2026*

Stanton was yet again convicted at Cardiff Magistrate’s Court in June 2026 of outraging public decency. He reportedly now has 12 previous convictions for 19 offences.

Stanton, aged 62 and from Barry, committed the sex act in the early hours of Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff after being taken there for a mental health assessment over concerns over a threat to self-harm. He was observed by staff to have put his hand down his leggings and masturbated his penis, and the court heard he “made eye contact with one nurse while he was doing it”. Hospital security was called but “when they arrived, it had stopped.” When police officers turned up and arrested Stanton, he told them : “I’ve done nothing wrong.”

He was jailed for a derisory 100 days for outraging public decency and a consecutive term of 60 days for being in breach of the previously imposed suspended sentence. Reportedly, Stanton will serve around 40 per cent of the 160-day prison sentence in custody before being released on licence.

Many of the media articles covering Stanton’s conviction contained verbatim reporting from the trial where the prosecution used bizarre and insulting phrases such as “Staff could see that she had her penis in her hand and that her hand was moving up and down”. Following the recent publication of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) updated services Code of Practice,132 MPs out of 650 (at the time of writing) had signed trans activist MP, Nadia Whittome’s early day motion to disapprove the Code. Without the Code, services will continue to come under pressure from perverted, sex offending, trans-identified men like Stanton to accommodate them in facilities and services for women.

The updated EHRC code of practice (draft available here) is designed to help businesses and public bodies correctly interpret and comply with the Equality Act 2010 and was revised after the Supreme Court ruled in 2025 that the definition of a woman under the Act is based on biological sex. The code was (finally!) laid in Parliament by the Minister for Women and Equalities on 21 May 2026 and is expected to come into effect around 30 June 2026, assuming neither House objects during the the statutory 40 day scrutiny period.

The now-suspended Liberal Democrat MP for Tewkesbury, Cameron Thomas, was one of the early signatories to the EDM – he has just been arrested on suspicion of assault and controlling and coercive behaviour. In addition, the SNP MP for Dundee Central, Chris Law, (an ardent supporter of gender self-id) had the cheek to sign the EDM, when he ensured the prosecution of a deranged trans-identified man who threatened him and vandalised his office. At the time he – a burly six foot six man – rightly told the court of the fear and alarm caused to him and his team, but was apparently unable to understand that women may feel similar fear and alarm from other angry, aggressive trans-identified men in female-only spaces and places of refuge. Notably, other MPs such as Rosie Duffield, Wes Streeting and Ellie Reeves, who have been targeted with threats and abuse by angry, violent trans-identified men, did not sign the EDM.
