Emma Louise Llewellyn

Emma Louise Llewellyn, a male who identifies as a transgender woman, was convicted at the Royal Court in Jersey in February 2025, of drugs offences after trying to bring £13,000 worth of cocaine to the island.

Llewellyn, aged 39 and from Stoke-on-Trent, flew from Liverpool to Jersey on 8 November 2024 and after a luggage swab tested positive for cocaine, officers discovered a condom protruding from Llewellyn’s body which was found to contain 52 grams of the drug. Local media outlets reported that Llewellyn variously told officers that it was “from her [sic] boyfriend” and that they had sex that morning, before later alleging that a fat-bellied Asian individual named “Pornstar” (to whom Llewellyn owed £350) had provided the drugs. Llewellyn initially denied drug use but later admitted to using cocaine the previous week after a thorough mobile phone search uncovered images of drugs and paraphernalia.

All media reports described Llewellyn as a “woman”, likely due to a government information website on Jersey describing the offender as such – see here.

Llewellyn was sentenced to four years and six months in prison.
