Alex Bruce, a male transvestite, was convicted at Elgin Sheriff Court in June 2025 of two offences involving sending sexual communications to children.

Like many trans-identified male sex offenders, Bruce escaped a prison sentence (the so-called Trans Get Out Jail Free Card) and instead received a three-year supervision order and sex offender notification requirement. The court heard that Bruce has learning difficulties.

Bruce, aged 21 and from Elgin, targeted young girls via Snapchat. The first girl he targeted in 2023 was aged 14 and Bruce asked her to go to his house and offered her £50 to have sex with him. He then bombarded a second child with sexual images and videos of himself wearing women’s underwear including a lace bodysuit and what he described as his “extensive thong collection”. He also sent images of himself urinating while wearing nappies and tried to get his victim to send indecent images of herself to him.
