Jason/Karla Whiteoak, a violent male transvestite was convicted of serious sexual assault and robbery on unknown dates.

In February 2025, North Yorkshire Police asked the public to call 999 if they saw Whiteoak as he absconded after being recalled to prison for breaching the terms of his licence. Whiteoak, aged 52 and from Selby, was last seen on CCTV in Cambridge town centre on 17 February 2025.

The press release from the police ludicrously relayed that Whiteoak “can present as female under the name Karla”. This was dutifully repeated by media outlets who all avoided calling a convicted violent male sex offender a man. See also the case of Craig/Lisa Hauxwell (a convicted trans-identified male rapist who went on the run in 2016) where The Derby Telegraph’s headline read ‘Have you seen missing woman spotted in Derbyshire dressed as a man?’

As Whiteoak has links to Humberside, Sussex, the North-East and London, anyone calling from outside North Yorkshire, should call 101 and ask for North Yorkshire Police, quoting reference number 12250035305 when sharing any information.
