Robert/Emma Page

Robert /Emma Page, a violent male who identifies as a trans woman, was sentenced to life in prison in 2001 for the murder of vulnerable disabled neighbour Clive White during a bungled burglary the previous year. Mr White, 56, was attacked with an axe and hammer and died after receiving almost 150 injuries including 15 broken ribs, a split Adam’s apple and bleeding on the brain.

Page, 24 was sent to the male Category A jail, HMP Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

In 2003, Page’s murder conviction was quashed and his guilty plea to manslaughter was accepted.

In 2011 it was reported that Robert Page had had hormone treatment to grow breasts, wore a blonde wig and was allowed to dress in skirts and blouses. The prison service confirmed he will be transferred to nearby female closed category prison HMP New Hall when gender reassignment surgery is complete.
