Carl Regan/Lucy Couture, a violent male who identifies as a trans woman, was jailed for 18 months at Southwark Crown Court in London in June 2017 after being convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The victim was a female prison officer at a male Category B prison, HMP Wormwood Scrubs. The original offence leading to Regan’s incarceration is unknown and the prisoner is believed to have transitioned in prison.

Regan, 25, sought out the prison officer in her office and hurled a cupful of urine in her face. The officer was so traumatised by the attack she needed over a year off work to recover.
