Gvidas Malinauskas
Gvidas Malinauskas, a male transvestite, was convicted at Belfast Magistrates’ Court in April 2026 of burglary with intent to steal and criminal damage. He was jailed for seven months.
Malinauskas, aged 42 and a Lithuanian national of no fixed abode, was caught via CCTV that showed him breaking into a gay entertainment venue in Belfast at 9am on 21 September 2025 and then entering and leaving the bar several times in a variety of drag queen costumes. These included a “white fluffy coat, pink boots and a long wig”, “a beige catsuit” and “a blue body suit and blonde wig.” The BBC reports that later that day one of the performers alerted the manager of the bar after finding that Malinauskas had returned to the dressing room and was wearing a black catsuit around his knees, a pink fluffy top and a red wig and that he then changed back into his own clothes and left the bar. He was apparently heavily intoxicated at the time and could offer no explanation for his behaviour.
Some of the clothing was left with “stains” and smelling of urine and some were ripped. The total damage caused to the outfits was assessed at just under £1,100.
It was also disclosed that Malinauskas is currently facing separate extradition proceedings in connection with alleged dishonesty offences in Lithuania.
