Troy/Khloe Simmonds

Troy/Khloe Simmonds, a male who identifies as a transgender woman, was convicted in September 2026 at Harrow Crown Court of eight counts of perverting the course of justice. This related to multiple false rape allegations made against six men – described by the judge as a “sustained pattern of conduct” between July 2018 and January 2026.

Simmonds was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison. He appeared for the first part of the sentencing hearing via video link from HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a male category B prison in West London, but then returned to his cell and refused to attend. Female pronouns were used for him in court.

Simmonds, aged 26, made at least 12 false claims wasting inordinate amounts of police time and resources that could have been spent on investigating other genuine sex offences – at the time he was “single-handedly” responsible for 2.5 per cent of all rape and serious sexual assault allegations in Harrow. He was arrested and released under investigation three times before being definitively caught out after accusing a taxi driver of rape, unaware the vehicle’s black box showed the car had been travelling at 25mph and had not stopped. CCTV footage also exonerated another man after it showed no assault, the court heard.

Simmonds also accused a Grindr date of drugging and raping him. In reality, the man left after no more than a hug after being troubled by the mess in Simmonds’ home. The victim also told police he noticed the smell of whiskey in a beer can after he went to the toilet. Another unfortunate victim’s impact statement said that the false allegation ended his relationship, that his brothers stopped speaking to him and that he had tried to end his life multiple times. He added: “It has destroyed my life.”

The court heard that Simmonds has autism, ADHD, and alcohol dependency issues. Most media managed to include some variation of Simmonds being a ‘pre-operative trans woman who was born male’ somewhere in their articles and avoided pronoun use, but several deliberately obfuscated his sex with The Mirror’s headline reading “Woman jailed after falsely accusing multiple men of rape over seven years”. As pointed out by this Twitter/X user, the BBC failed to cover the story despite copious coverage whenever a woman is convicted of making a false rape allegation – including 20 separate news articles and two documentaries about Eleanor Williams.

Simmonds is not the first trans-identified man detailed on this site to have made false rape allegations – they are collected here, including murderer Gerald Matovu and child sex offender Jasmine Hill. Three others, Tristyn Bell-Willows, Cameron Downing and Chantelle Simmons blackmailed other men by threatening to make false allegations of rape to the police if the victim did not do what they demanded.
